This restaurant is in a mainly tourist area. We picked it randomly based on being off the main walking area. It is in a very cute courtyard so there is some separation from the teeming hoards walking around at dinner time.
We were seated quickly without a reservation, and overall had a great meal and very good food. The dishes we ordered seemed very authentic French for that region. We avoided the Prix Fixe, and just ordered some appetizers, and shared a main dish. Had the Sea Bream and we were kind of surprised, but it was the best fish we had the whole vacation. They even split it in half for us and de-boned. Our daughter's child burger was under cooked, so we sent it back and it came back just right.
Our server was a little surly at first but warmed up to us, and we realized he was probably overworked and covering too large an area.
So I could see that this place may not always be so perfect as it was for us.
Having said that, we loved it: food style and taste, atmosphere and time to wait for our meals. The wine was good too, and for what we got the price seemed very reasonable.
There are so many options when that part of NIce, so if you are near this one, I think its a good choice. -

Where to start?
First, the decor is intimate but not crowded. Chic, but inviting.
The service was impeccable.
The food, however, was the piece de resistance!!
The menu was so appealing, we wanted everything ; 0
We opted for the Goat Cheese Tart ~ was amazing! Thin, light pastry crust topped with warm goat cheese and a poached fruit. Sublime.
We then tried the Tartar and Fries...what a yummy combination
Our entree was the scallops ...the dish was large enough to share and incredibly, incredibly, incredibly good...née delicious!
Finished with the eclair. I was not a fan, but my companion was. -

Ambience is super cute and quaint if you get a seat outside (we did not) I think our experience with service was a little different bc we were inside and in a corner. We saw people seated after us get served and their food sooner. Waiter was nice and friendly though. Honestly, food was just ok. We had the fish soup which was tasty and hearty but was a little cold. The stuffed squash blossoms were raw (usually they are lightly battered) but i didn't mind it. What i didn't like was that the cheese was cold and firm. The steak tartare was fresh but they used sweet pickles and it was too sweet and overpowering. Lastly their signature beef was pretty good.
In general, didn't love the area. Felt touristy but I guess it had to be. That's the challenge in France - not every restaurant has an English menu or English speaking staff which makes it limiting. -

Nice cozy restaurant. Food decent. Cured ham appetizer was good. My sea bass was cooked well, and the vegetable stew was tasty, our house red wines were good. Deserts were decent - I ordered the limonchello sorbet - alcohol super strong. Overall food was 3.5 star and ambience was 4.5 star...I went with 4 stars.

What a romantic and beautiful setting! We sat outside under their pergola covered in beautiful lush greenery. It was a bit toasty outside but the Rosé was cool :) We tried the fresh burrata, crab and guacamole, seafood pasta, and the daily fish. It was all so tasty! If you are in the area, i highly recommend stopping by. It is also located next store to Boccaccio, which is a delicious restaurant option as well!
